First results development training material Lean Manufacturing available!At the conference of the Lean Manufacturing and Marketing project in Barcelona, in first week of Oktober 2012, the first material of the training Lean Manufacturing is delivered.The main objectives of the Lean project is the development of new courses and learning materials for Lean Management and Lean Marketing. The courses are tailored to the needs of management and workers within print media companies and arts students on these items. During the conference in Barcelona, the training, as developed by the Danish colleagues is discussed. Additions and changes were listed by the other participants. These will be processed ASAP. Then the appropriate training will be translated into 5 languages and tested in printing companies in the participating countries.In Barcelona there is also a discussion on the design of the Lean Marketing training. The structure, goals and table of contents were determined. The Dutch colleagues from the Dienstencentrum will develop this training in the coming months.What is LEAN?The core idea is to set the value for the customer to maximize while minimizing the resources used.An organization that work "lean", understands which customer value for the customer is important. They focus on the key processes to increase this value constantly. The ultimate goal is to perfect value to the customer through a perfect production process.The participating organizations are: GA, the Danish Employers' Association for the graphic arts industry; Cubion, a Danish consultancy agency; Fundació Industries Gràfiques de Catalunya, the school for print and multimedia in Barcelona, Spain; Dienstencentrum, The Netherlands, the consultancy agency in the print media industry; Innowise a German research and consulting firm; the Greek Open University-EAP and Stivako, the institute for entrepreneurial education in the graphic arts and creative sector in the Netherlands.
